The AARP Bulletin launched a series of web based videos about transportation and needed a motion graphic segment to introduce each video. After a few discussions, they determined the target length of seven seconds. I worked from the concept that good journalistic reporting builds a deeper understanding of the issues. This is illustrated by showing a flat 2D environment expand to reveal 3D depth in a detailed environment.
This project was built in Maya and finished in Adobe After Effects. I also did some heavy sound editing on the original stock music track to get it down to the required length. In this example, the graphic leads the piece reviewing the Chevy Volt. |
